Who We Are

Members of the Mounted Volunteer Patrol are a dedicated group of men and women who not only enjoy horseback riding, but also possess a desire to proactively promote awareness and responsible trail use for hikers, cyclists and equestrians within the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and the mountains surrounding the San Fernando, Simi, and Conejo valleys.

From rookies to seasoned veterans, MVP members range in age from their 20s to 70s and have undergone extensive training to work in conjunction with the authorized agencies in providing public assistance and resource protection throughout the national, state, and locally owned parklands they patrol.
